You
can tell a lot about a person from his Links page. Here are
a few of my favorites:
Futures
Mysterious Anthology - These guys were the first to
actually buy something I wrote (The
Hit). In print and on-line, it can't be beat.
Out
of Order is set in India and much of the action takes
place aboard that country's great railway system. I owe
a huge debt to the members of the India
Rail Fan Club for their help, information and friendship.
Do yourself a big favor - get to India. You'll be a rail
fan, too.
Noble Lies
would not have been possible without Vitida Vasant's Thailand
Fever: A Road Map for Thai-Western Relationships.
Well, it would have been possible but it wouldn't have been
any good. If you're a western male dating a woman from Thailand
(or anywhere in South East Asia) you and your girlfriend
MUST read this book together. And if you are just interested
in multi-cultural perspectives, this is a fascinating read.
Another Benoit
- and guess what, this one is a mystery writer. Really.
Dominique Benoit
lives in Laurentians, Quebec, a bustling metrop that is
all the rage with the snowmobile jet set crowd. Dominique
writes Science Fiction Mysteries under the name "M.D.
Benoit". Yup, SF and a Mystery in one book - you can't
beat it! And check out the reviews
of Meter Made and Metered Space:
If you like
international travel-related mysteries, check out Maria
Hudgins, author of Death of an Obnoxious Tourist.
I just finished reading Death of a Loveable Geek
- great read, the kind of brain-puzzler that will have you
trying to solve it before Dotsy Lamb, the wonderfully believable
protagonist. I've never been to Scotland but after Death
of a Loveable Geek, I feel like I know the place.
If
you're looking for Comic Books there's
only one place to shop - Past
and Present Comics. Tell John I sent you and tell him
you want the same discounthe gives me.
And when
I'm anywhere near Evansville, Indiana, you know
you'll find me at the Evansville
Plaza and Suites. Great value and a wonderful
staff - highly recommended. Ask to speak to co-owner Dan
DiGennaro. If he's in, tell him I sent you and he'll buy
you a cuppa joe. He doesn't know it yet, but he will. Right
Dan?
